The maritime community has begun to implement initiatives aimed at combating harassment, reducing unconscious bias, and creating gender- neutral work environments.
In Turkish waters, environmental protection is developing, and significant fines are applicable to vessels that violate Turkish anti-pollution regulations. As per the latest amendments to be brought into effect on 01st January 2025, there is an increase 43.93 %) in the amount of the fines that are being applied by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) against the offending vessels compared to the previous year.
Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) is a viral illness. It was initially identified in 1958 in research monkeys. However, it is now also known to occur in other wild animal species, with the first human case identified in 1970 in Congo (DRC).
